One horse is killed every two days at racecourses across Britain, and many more horses lose their lives in training. Race horse deaths remain unreported by the media, and the industry does not produce any meaningful data on this issue. Animal Aid is the only organisation to monitor and make public detailed information about Thoroughbred fatalities, and campaigns to make the industry take responsibility for the animals from whom it profits.
